The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) joins hundreds of organizations across the country in celebrating National VNA Week, May 6-12, 2012, by recognizing the importance of visiting nurse agencies and home healthcare providers who deliver high-quality, affordable care to elderly and disabled patients in the home and community setting.
“The second week of May has been set aside as a special time for expressing our appreciation to thousands of home healthcare clinicians and homecare providers who tirelessly care for millions of patients across the country,” stated Andy Carter, VNAA President and CEO. “We join Visiting Nurse Agencies across the country in saying thank you for the compassionate care provided by visiting nurses and home health providers.”
“Nonprofit Visiting Nurse Agencies treat patients where it matters most…in the home. There is no better time than now to recognize their contributions to healthcare and to express appreciation for the service and added value they offer society and our healthcare system,” added Carter.
